SQL Database Administrator
San Antonio, TX (hybrid)
Pay From: $75,000 per year
MUST:
SQL Database Administrator
Active DoD Secret is preferred or candidate with a Level II Public Trust and a recent CAC is needed (Preference will be given to current CAC holders)
2+ years of hands on database administration experience with SQL
1+ years of hands on experience with SQL Server configuration and maintenance
Must have solid problem determination skills supporting SQL problems
Evaluate and recommend relational database structures, monitor and recommend tuning strategies for specific databases like SQL Server database environments for improved system performance
Understanding of Active Directory and the Domain Controller structure
Relevant work experience with SQL Server technologies such as SSRS, SSIS, SSAS is desired
Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
Strong Problem-solving skills
Experience with PowerShell is a Plus
Experience with Azure DevOps is a Plus
Bachelor's Degree in IT field
DUTIES:
Ideal candidate for this role is a Jr/mid level DBA with solid grasp of SQL databases and servers joining a growing team in the SA TX area.
Candidate will help implement and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases within a multi-tiered environment
Adding or modifying system/user permissions to databases or database servers
Analyze and optimize data models
Design and implement stored procedures and database scripts to support enterprise applications
Database performance tuning
Ability to enforce, articulate, and influence best practices
Resolve database performance issues
Manage complex data models and object relational database mapping
Perform basic capacity planning, cluster set up, performance tuning and monitoring
Troubleshoot SQL DB slowness, Disk/Memory/CPU utilization and suggest resolutions
Analyze processing issues and data anomalies and identifying solutions
Advise the customer on best practices
Implement best practices on Microsoft SQL Server Databases and Servers
Interface and communicate with customer
Document processes and procedures
