KBR is looking for an intern who would be responsible for developing software solutions to customer problems by developing applications from beginning to end.
Performs research and analysis to determine project cycle, including estimating tasks, scheduling of assigned projects, and ensuring schedules are met or revised as necessary. Provide Web site development and curator efforts. Support SharePoint sites, SharePoint migration (ShareGate), Power App, Power Automate, and Power BI development and assistance/troubleshooting. Create code/apps that meets system standards. Use VBA to build and deploy macros and templates. Use current software knowledge to design and develop functional Web pages and maintain existing databases/list, develop databases/list as necessary. Provide front end graphical user interface design using reactive front end web frameworks. Provide software testing and quality assurance. Support, maintain, and document software functionality. Maintain and report project status to management along with monthly required reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VBA macros, custom tools built with Microsoft Power Platform, and SharePoint access, collaborating with users to identify root causes and ensure robust solutions. Provide SharePoint curator services and support to users/customers.
Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office Application development including use of VBA for Excel macro (Advanced level) development. Candidates should have experience with front end web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Candidate should be able to understand and write software requirement documentation and code/process documentation. Candidate should have some experience with C# or Python (or some high-level object-oriented language).
Professional communication skills in dealing with technical customers is necessary. The candidate should be able to independently gather requirements directly from the customer in order to fully understand the scope and nature of the task being requested. Candidate should be able to independently present technical information and design options to the customer in a clear and informative manner. The candidate will be required to provide technical suggestions to improve functionality or offer new solutions to the customer. This position is on premise at Johnson Space Center facility (no remote work)
