Respiratory Care Practitioner, Entry Level

We’re searching for a Respiratory Care Practitioner, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will administer a variety of respiratory care procedures in a developmentally age-appropriate manner for patients ranging from neonates to adults.

Job Duties & Responsibilities 
•    Performs patient care and related activities according to policy and/or guidelines. In compliance with MD order to provide optimal patient outcome. 
•    Perform patient care assessments. 
•    Performs medication delivery. 
•    Performs airway clearance techniques. 
•    Provides ventilatory support 
•    Documents patient related activities according to policy/guidelines in a legible manner. 
•    Facilitates good communication with Physician, Nursing, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate optimal patient care. 
•    Provides instruction to patients and families. 
•    Performs other essential functions. 

Skills & Requirements 
•    Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent  
•    Required current enrollment in an accredited respiratory care program OR have a temporary license to practice respiratory care 
•    Required BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
