MEDICAL ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPER, MIT Health, perform intensive cleaning of offices, treatment rooms, waiting areas, conference rooms, and lounges. Will clean kitchen units, including appliances and the defrosting refrigerator and ice machines; wash walls and horizontal surfaces, sinks, beds, and floors; clean bathrooms, showers, fixtures, and patient equipment (may include IV poles, stretchers, and wheelchairs; clean furniture; clean and arrange conference rooms; dust and spot clean walls and doors in high and low areas; clean interior glass in doorways and entrance areas; collect and distribute linens; remove rubbish, recycle waste, and medical waste in accordance with detailed infection waste control guidelines; stock supplies in exam rooms, kitchenettes, bathrooms and other areas; and lock and unlock doors and set alarms.
Schedule: (26 hours per week) Monday 4pm-10pm, Wednesday 3pm-10pm, Friday 4pm-10pm, Saturday 9am-4pm
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Medical assistant housekeepers are considered essential personnel in accordance with the MIT Policy on Emergency Closing or Early Release. During emergencies, these employees are excused from their regularly scheduled work only with the specific authorization of their supervisor, regardless of any public announcement that the Institute is closed.
