Creative Production Assistant
Poo~PourriAbout Us
In 2007, Suzy Bátiz created Poo~Pourri, a natural, effective solution to a universal problem: sh*t happens... and it stinks. Since then, Poo~Pourri has rapidly grown to become way more than just an odor-eliminating product. As the brand evolved, Poo~Pourri became ~Pourri, reflecting a broader vision and a growing portfolio of products designed to help people live more freely and confidently. ~Pourri has taken a shift, a shift in bathroom routine, a shift in how things "should" be done, and a shift in company culture. We're a company of fast-paced rule-breakers on a mission to find new paths to personal freedom. Our brand redefines how the world thinks, and talks, about taboos. In a world full of rules, playing it safe, and "that can't be done," ~Pourri doesn't subscribe to that crap. We dream differently. Want to come play with us?
About the Role
We’re looking for a full-time Creative Production Assistant to support every phase of production, week in and week out. This isn’t a day-playing gig; you’ll be a core part of a small, fast-moving team that films regularly, and you’ll be there for all of it: prep, shoot, wrap, and everything in between. You enjoy creating productions, being on set, orchestrating a successful day, and overall having fun!
The right person is always a step ahead. You can take high-level direction and turn it into concrete details, anticipating problems, preparing for them, and getting things ready without being told exactly what to do or how to do it. You see the gap before anyone points at it, and you fill it.
What You’ll Own (aka the sh*t you’ll run with)
On Prep and Shoot Days
- Assist the Producer across all phases of production, from prep through wrap
- Assist the Creative Director to pre-set, dress sets, and place props ahead of call time
- Move and strike lighting equipment
- Assist with talent logistics: arrivals, hospitality, and holding
- Anticipate what the day needs next and have it ready before it’s asked for
- Step into gaps as they appear and handle whatever tasks keep the day moving
- Get release forms signed
Between Shoot Days
- Assist in researching locations, products, talent, and reference material
Store runs, pickups, returns, and equipment transport - Organize files, media, and production archives
- Assist with maintaining production calendars, content schedules, and project timelines
- Track completed shoots, upcoming projects, and content deliverables
- Assist with content and project tracking through Asana
- Proofread copy, documents, and deliverables
- Update social account details
- Update affiliate links in ShopMy (affiliate link creation)
- Assists and KPI reporting
- Assists in creative scheduling and pre-shoot prep
- Other general team tasks as needed
Schedule & Availability
Please read this section carefully. The schedule is a real requirement of the job.
- Full-time, on-site for shoot days
- Present for every film day
- On call on non-filming days
- Occasional weekend prep is required, ex. coming in on a Sunday to prep for a Monday shoot (if necessary)
- Shoot days can run long, and start times vary shoot to shoot
- Typical business hours are generally 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM when not supporting production activities, though schedules may vary based on filming needs
- Work may take place at various locations throughout the Dallas area, including filming locations, office locations, and occasional remote work depending on production needs
Qualifications + Experience (What We’re Looking For)
- 1+ year of professional on-set experience
- Organized and detail-oriented. You usually track the moving pieces without being reminded
- You think ahead. You can work from high-level information and figure out the concrete steps yourself
- Team player with a low ego and a willingness to do whatever the day requires
- Clear, proactive communicator, you flag problems early instead of hoping they resolve
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (regular store runs and pickups)
- Reliable internet connection and computer/laptop
- Comfortable lifting, carrying, and moving production equipment throughout the day
- Discretion with confidential material, talent, and client information
- Experience with Asana or similar project management software preferred
- Experience managing calendars, schedules, or project timelines preferred
- Creative eye for styling, props, set preparation, and visual presentation preferred
