ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT ASSISTANT, Sloan Office of External Relations, provides administrative and programmatic support to the Engagement Events and Strategic Alumni Engagement teams, coordinating alumni programs including MIT Sloan Reunion and January Executive Electives. This role manages event logistics, develops registration systems, prepares communications and materials, and maintains timelines and documentation. They serve as a primary point of contact for alumni and internal partners, delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include maintaining alumni event information on the website and overseeing data needs, including event coding, reporting, and monthly metrics. The position tracks and reconciles budgets, processes financial transactions, and supports departmental scheduling and administrative needs.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of three years of administrative and/or events support experience; demonstrate strong interpersonal and analytical skills with superior customer service abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Zoom, Qualtrics, and event management platforms such as Cvent; exceptional organizational and presentation skills, along with strong written communication abilities and the capacity to set goals and priorities in a fast-paced environment; be a collaborative self-starter with strong initiative and attention to detail. PREFERRED: Experience working with alumni, volunteers, senior staff, and administration; project management experience; writing and editing skills; and customer service or events experience in higher education or nonprofit organizations.
Some evening, weekend, and travel commitments are required.
