ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANT for ADULT FORMATION, THEOLOGICAL STUDY & OUTREACH
JOB SUMMARY
This role provides administrative and operational support for Adult Education and Discipleship, Young Adult and University Ministries, the Zbinden Study Center, Missions, and Church Planting, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, effective communication, and efficient scheduling. The selected candidate will serve in a highly impactful position on the ministry team.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School diploma and some college or equivalent experience
- Work Experience: Five or more years of administrative experience
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience using an Information Management System or similar platform
- Excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills
- Ability to graciously interact with others in a personable and professional way
- A teachable, caring, and compassionate spirit
- A high degree of integrity, responsibility and confidentiality

- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support to two associate pastors and his/her ministry teams
- Organize meetings (which includes ordering lunches), workshops, and seminars using church management software and/or MS Teams or Zoom
- Coordinate with internal Communications and Facility Operations Departments to advertise and schedule in-person and online meetings and events
- Communicate with Committees, FPC Ministry Partners, and FPC members
- Prepare agenda, take minutes, and distribute materials for the Adult Education, Young Adult & University, Global and Local Missions, and Zbinden Study Center Committees
- Process/prepare check requests, annual funding applications and quarterly reporting (Missions and Church Planting), and accompanying letters for checks
- Approve time off requests for the ministry teams, with direction from associate pastor
- Print documents and materials for ministry teams, as needed
- Prepare slides for ministry events, as needed
- Provide support to the Receptionist and other Administrative Assistants, as needed
- Other tasks as assigned by the associate pastors
