ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2, Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR), performs complex and diverse administrative duties in support to the CCTR Co-Directors and other staff within the center. Will respond to daily inquiries regarding the center, many requiring a broad understanding of center policies and procedures, follow up with issues and escalate issues to CCTR leadership/PI as needed; serve as a liaison to internal and external partners, faculty, and MIT administration; and coordinate communication and regular meetings with partners as requested by CCTR leadership.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: A minimum of three years of administrative, office or related experience; exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; proven experience successfully multitasking, organizing single or multiple projects; ability to work with changing priorities and changing teams, in a dynamic and ever-changing environment; ability to interact effectively across all levels, both internally at MIT and nationally with sponsors and partners; good judgment, tact, and discretion and ability to handle confidential information; ability to function effectively both independently and as a team member; MS Office software skills required; Office 365 preferred; familiarity with web site editing and ability and willingness to learn new programs; attention to detail; take ownership for work, following up on all action items, and will deliver high-quality results meeting deadlines. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree; MIT experience; experience and /or interest in Clinical Research; willingness to complete and maintain CITI training for Biomedical research; and willingness to complete and maintain EHS training on biomedical hazardous and other BL2 related training including CPR certification.
Position is based at MIT with no significant remote work planned; early mornings or late nights may be required at times
This is a part time position at 24 hours per week (60% effort). Accordingly, the pro-rated annual salary range is $34,320 to $42,681.
