Begin to build your future at HGA! We have an excellent opportunity for a college or graduate school student for a paid summer internship in summer of 2027. The summer internship is typically 12 weeks in length beginning on or before June 1, 2027, through mid-August (depending on your schedule).

What you'll do:
As a Fire Protection and Life Safety Intern, you will:
- Assist with the design and review of fire protection systems.
- Participate in design review meetings, workshops, and project coordination activities.
- Support the preparation of comprehensive fire protection design packages.
- Assist with construction administration and project support activities.
- Participate in site evaluations and documentation of existing fire protection systems.
- Gain exposure to building code requirements, fire and life safety systems, and multidisciplinary project teams.
What you'll bring:

Pursuing a degree in:
- Architectural Engineering (Fire Protection emphasis preferred),
- Fire Protection Engineering, or
- Mechanical Engineering.
- Enrolled in an ABET-accredited program.
- Currently a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Experience with Revit.
- Knowledge of Trace 3D+ is a plus but not required.
- Interest in fire protection, life safety, and building systems design.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary Information:
The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Hourly Rate: $29/hour (Boston or Washington, DC).
